The Bears took control early in the contest. Ferrer netted the first goal of the game nearly two minutes in. Following the goal, both defenses gave up little to nothing, until the Bears offense began to pick up. With 12:18 to go, sophomore midfielder
Zoe Morgenroth (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) gave the Bears a 2-0 lead with a successful free-position shot. The Kangaroos got on the scoreboard after junior defender Cecelia Neally (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) sent a shot that was intended to be a pass into the goal from the right side of the attack area at 11:30. Keira Thacker's (Oakville, Ontario / T.A. Blakelock) free-position shot with two minutes left in the half gave the Bears a 4-1 advantage heading into the final 30 minutes of action.

Alli Stark (Walworth, N.Y./Gananda) helped the Bears keep their momentum with her man-up goal on the assist from Morgenroth at 26:57. Then at 23:58, Ferrer struck again for her 25th goal of the season to put Potsdam up 6-1. Ferrer would go on to score three more goals in the final 15 minutes, completing her hat trick and sealing the 9-2 victory.

Kayla McCabe (Watertown, N.Y. ]/General Brown) had a game-high four draw controls and five caused turnovers. Longamore finished with seven ground balls.
Potsdam wraps up the season on Saturday as the Bears host the No. 24 Geneseo Knights at Maxcy Turf at 3 p.m. on Senior Day.
