Alexa Ferrer (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) added four and sophomore midfielder
Zoe Morgenroth (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) finished with three. Senior captain
Katie Longamore (Dexter, N.Y./General Brown) stopped 13 shots for the win.
After a fast start on goals from Reece Wiley and Emily Caoili gave the Cardinals a 2-0 lead 3:36 into the contest, Potsdam closed the half on a 10-1 run. O'Connor scored four times and Ferrer and Morgenroth added three apiece. Senior attack
Alli Stark (Walworth, N.Y./Gananda) also picked up a an assisted in the half. Longamore stopped seven shots in the opening 30 minutes.
The Bears kept rolling in the second half, outscoring Plattsburgh 8-4. Potsdam opened the final period on a 3-1 run. O'Connor scored at 27:06 and senior captain

Ashley Burrowes (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) and Stark scored in succession at 23:17 and 22:14, with Paige assisting on Stark's goal. Ferrer picked up her fourth at 21:05 and O'Connor buried her personal best sixth at 14:50 and the Bears led 17-5. Allie Vangas and Katelyn McGlauglin netted the Cardinals' sixth and seventh of the contest at 12:39 and 8:01 and Potsdam freshman midfielder
Emma Thomas (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) closed the scoring with her first career goal with 23 seconds on the clock.
Cardinal goalie Alexa Cassidy was tagged with the loss after allowing 11 goals and making four saves in the first 43:39. Kaitlyn Boyea-Guynup stopped two shots and allowed seven goals in the last 16:21.
O'Connor had a strong day all around, leading the Bears with six ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Next, Potsdam hits the road for Oswego for a 1 p.m. Saturday game.
