POTSDAM & CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's volleyball team (3-4) fell in two road games on Friday. Clarkson University (9-0) defeated the Bears 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-6) and St. Lawrence University (8-1) also topped Potsdam 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-22).
Against the Golden Knights, freshman outside hitter
Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) had three kills and two digs. Junior captain
Monica Mack (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) added three kills, a block and an assist. Sophomore outside hitter
Emme Price (Glendale, Ariz./Deer Valley) totaled three kills and a block. Freshman setter
Kendall Jones (Parker, Colo./Elizabeth) finished with nine assists and three digs and senior captain
Natalie Magallon (Commerce, Calif./Bell Gardens) contributed seven digs, two aces and an assist.
Mack picked up seven more kills, four digs and an assist against the Saints. Junior captain
Nicole Hansen (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) had six kills and six digs and freshman middle hitter
Caitlin Retzlaff (Milton, Fla./Pace) chipped in four kills. Jones added 20 assists and an ace and Ader posted 12 digs and two assists. Magallon capped her night with 24 digs.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. when they host Middlebury College. They square off with SLU again tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. in another home match.
