No. 22 Red Dragons down Bears

POTSDAM, N.Y.—22nd-ranked SUNY Cortland (3-1, 2-0 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (1-3, 0-2) 19-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Red Dragons started quickly with five goals in the first five minutes and never gave up control. Senior midfielder Hannah Tiso (Somers, N.Y./Somers) led Cortland with six points on two goals and four assists. Junior midfielder Hannah Keech (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan Academy) scored three goals and added an assist and freshman attack Toni Cashman (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) had three goals. Senior goalie Paige Potter (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) made four saves for the win.
 
Bears junior midfielder Calena Rodriguez (Albany, N.Y./Albany) had three ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control. Sophomore goalie Netta Terrance (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) made a career-high 14 saves, collected two ground balls and caused one turnover.
 
Potsdam hosts Cazenovia College on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
