NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—SUNY New Paltz (2-1, 2-1 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (2-5, 0-4) 20-6 on Thursday afternoon to complete the SUNYAC East season series.
 
Sophomore attack Anita Reitano (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) had two goals and an assist to lead the Bears. Fellow sophomore attack Hannah Stevenson (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) scored a goal and added two assists to go with three draw controls. Freshman midfielder Lindsey LaDue (Massena, N.Y./Massena), senior midfielder Keira Thacker (Oakville, Ontario/T.A. Blakelock) and junior midfielder Calena Rodriguez (Albany, N.Y./Albany) also scored for the Bears. Freshman midfielder Novaleigh LeGrow (Massena, N.Y./Massena) contributed three ground balls and two draw controls. Sophomore goalie Netta Terrance (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) made 13 saves.
 
Amy Hofer led the Hawks attack with eight goals and an assist for nine points. Katie Zito scored four goals. Maddy Carullo and Tara Bovich each had two goals and an assist and Maddie Gillis added two tallies.
 
The Bears are home on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. with a newly added contest against Elmira College.
