ALFRED, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's volleyball team (0-2) fell to Penn State Behrend (2-0) during the first day of the Saxon Classic in three sets (16-25, 21-25, 13-25). Junior outside hitter 
Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) and sophomore outside hitter 
Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) led the Bears with nine kills each on the night.
 
Junior outside hitter 
Abygail Olejnik (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield) and Myers each recorded 10 digs. Junior 
Alyssa Rogers (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) had a career-high 17 assists along with an ace.
 
Senior outside hitter Keely Hering led Penn State with 10 kills. Hering, along with senior defensive specialist Cara Zollars each recorded 13 digs, while Zollar also had two assists. Senior Setter Dani Kosslow finished with 23 assists.
 
The Bears are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the tournament. Potsdam faces Alfred University at 11 a.m. and SUNY Canton at 3 p.m.
