POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Brockport (16-5, 6-1 SUNYAC) rallied from sizeable deficits in the first and third sets to defeat the SUNY Potsdam women's volleyball team (10-10, 1-7) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. Senior outside hitter Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) led the Bears with nine kills. Senior captain Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) had six kills, seven digs, two assists and an ace.
 
The Golden Eagles came back for a 25-23 win in set one, captured a 25-15 win in set two and held off Potsdam 26-24 in set three. Junior outside hitter Sophia Rowny (Glenville, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) posted six digs. Senior setter Colleen Murphy (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) totaled 15 assists and four aces. Freshman setter Sophia Layer (Winthrop, N.Y./Potsdam) added nine assists. Sophomore libero Morgan Buckley (Third Lake, Ill./Grayslake North) had 13 digs and senior outside hitter Abygail Olejnik (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield) had eight.
 
Senior opposite Jordan Thompson (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) paced Brockport with 15 kills, six digs, four aces and two blocks. Fifth-year middle blocker Myah Frostclapp (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) had 10 kills and a block. Fifth-year outside hitter Andrea Coyle (Caledonia, N.Y./Caledonia-Mumford) registered nine kills, 12 digs and two aces. Junior setter Ashley Allen (Leesburg, Va./Loudon County) had 20 assists and senior libero Madalyn Bowen (Panama, N.Y./Panama) contributed 16 digs.
 
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday, when they head to SUNY Canton for a 7 p.m. showdown.
