POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Geneseo (9-5-3, 3-3-2) defeated the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (5-7-4) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. Three different Knights scored.
The Bears generated good pressure in the first half, outshooting the Knights 6-5. Geneseo junior goalie Vincent Maronski Jr. (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) made four saves in the opening to keep the Bears off the board. However, the Knights struck just 7:44 into the contest when senior forward Tyler Lewandowski (Greece, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) made it 1-0. The score was the same at the break.
Geneseo pulled away in the second half. Freshman forward Dylan Thody (Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman) made it a 2-0 contest at 55:35. The Knights then added insurance at 83:43 when senior forward Owen Frank (Grafton, Mass./Grafton) made it a three-goal game.

Lucas Schiel (Bremen, Germany/Colegio Humboldt) allowed a goal and made a save in the first half. Freshman
Evan Jacobs (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Forks) stopped a shot and allowed two goals in the second half. Maronski finished with five saves for the shutout.

The Bears wrap up the season on Tuesday when they head across town to face Clarkson University at 4 p.m.
