POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Brockport (7-2-1, 5-0-1 SUNYAC) trailed 1-0 at the half before rallying to defeat the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (4-10-1, 0-9) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. Junior captain
Zach Cunningham (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) scored for the Bears.
Cunningham put the Bears up 1-0 at 19:29. The Golden Eagles responded with good pressure that resulted in 13 shots and four corner kicks. However, Potsdam senior goalkeeper
Lucas Schiel (Bremen, Germany/Colegio Humboldt) made five saves to keep them off the board through the break.
Brockport didn't get even until the 62nd minute when junior midfielder Eric Ramirez (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) scored. Just 3:33 later, junior forward Chuck Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./East Rochester) gave the Eagles the lead for good. Domm struck again at 70:19 and sophomore forward Peter Tinaj (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) closed the scoring at 85:10.
Schiel finished with a career-high 11 saves. Brockport senior goalie Andrew Taylor (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) made four saves for the win.
