BROCKPORT, N.Y.—SUNY Brockport (12-2-4, 4-1-4 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (3-9-2, 1-6-2) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Junior midfielder Sarah Emmi (Huntington, N.Y./Elwood-John Glenn) scored for the Bears.
 
Amelia Breton got the Golden Eagles on the board at 20:11. Nearly seven minutes later, Jayla Cossin struck at 26:59 to make it a 2-0 contest. Bears senior captain Savannah Bowie (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville) made two saves in the first half and the score was unchanged at the break.
 
Karlie Mann extended Brockport's lead to 3-0 at 63:47. Emmi finally broke through the Eagles defense at 76:20, burying a feed from sophomore defender Emma Wilson (Nesconset, N.Y./Sachem North).
 
Bowie finished with five saves. Madeline McCrosson started the contest for Brockport and didn't allow a goal in the first 68:38. Emily McCane allowed a goal and made a save in the last 21:22.
 
The Bears wrap up the season on Tuesday, when they host Castleton University at 4 p.m.
