NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—SUNY New Paltz (7-3-2, 3-0-1 SUNYAC) scored twice in the first half and three times in the second half to defeat the SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (2-6-2, 0-4-2) 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Rachel Eisert got the Hawks on the board with a goal just 2:26 into the contest. At 16:57, Gaby Treble made it a 2-0 nothing game. Bears freshman goalie

Treble struck again in the second half at 52:41. Ally Donovan followed to increase New Paltz's advantage to 4-0 at 57:29. At the 65:37 mark, Laney Schmitz added a fifth goal.

Savannah Bowie (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville) didn't face a shot in a brief 56 second appearance. Maddie Franklin earned the win with two saves in the first 68:32. Madelyn Jachimiak stopped three shots in the final 21:28.
 
The Bears are back home on Saturday when they host Buffalo State at 1 p.m.
