Buffalo State got on the board first. At 8:38, junior defenseman Lili Adimey (Buffalo, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) fired the puck from the right corner. It went off a Potsdam defenders' skate and into the net for a 1-0 lead. The Bears tied the game just 1:04 later. Senior defenseman
Alana Palameta (Windsor, Ontario/Morrisville State) passed the puck ahead to freshman forward
Jalynn Castro (Dexter, N.Y./Syracuse Valley Eagles) at the right faceoff circle. Castro then hit Holmes in the slot and she fired past Bengals junior goalie Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, Mich./Honeybaked Detroit). The Bears were 0-for-2 for on the power play and Buffalo State was 0-for-1. The score remained tied at the first intermission.
Each team scored a power-play goal in the second period. The Bengals jumped in front again at 10:07 as sophomore forward Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) scored on the man advantage. Chambers tied the score at 18:38, knocking home a pass from sophomore defenseman

Megan Sheehan (Akron, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) on route. The Bears outshot Buffalo State 8-4 in the second period.
There was no scoring in the third period. Both teams created strong scoring chances and the Bears had the only power play of the 20 minutes.
In overtime, senior goalie
Ellie Zurfluh (Arvada, Colo./Team Colorado) stopped two quick chances by Buffalo State. With just over three minutes left, Proulx won the faceoff in the neutral zone. Palameta took the puck back behind the net before giving it back. Proulx took the puck down the right side of the ice, cut in front of the net and beat Auge at the left post.
Zurfluh finished with 19 saves for her 14th career victory, tying her for fourth place on the program's NCAA-era wins list with Dawna Salvarinas. Auge made 23 stops. Each team was 1-for-3 on the power play.
The Bears are back in action next Friday, against Colby College in the first round of the Castleton Invitational at 7 p.m.
