MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (4-1) handled Morrisville State (4-3) by a score of 10-6 on Saturday afternoon for its fourth consecutive victory. Senior captain
Peyton Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) recorded four points with three goals and one assist. Junior attackman
Cobie Cree (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) scored three goals to compliment his teammate. Sophomore midfielder
Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./St. Lawrence Central) tallied three points on two goals and one assist while sophomore attackman
Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) chipped in two goals to round out the scoring for the Bears.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the second quarter until Rose buried a man-up goal from senior captain
Ayden LaFave (Philadelphia, N.Y./Indian River) with 4:28 remaining to extend the Potsdam lead. Morrisville then scored two more goals from Chris Picciott and James Graizzaro as the Bears held the 5-3 advantage entering the break.
Cree struck first at 8:24 in the third quarter. Morrisville answered seven minutes later with an unassisted man-up goal from Evan Kistner. Cree scored his third goal of the game on a man-up opportunity from sophomore faceoff specialist
Talon Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) at the 1:04 mark.
Owen Walsh netted another with 38 seconds remaining to take an 8-4 lead into the final quarter.
Dante Patriarco opened the scoring in the fourth quarter for the Mustangs at the 13:18 mark. Rose scored the Bears' ninth goal of the game three minutes later to maintain the four-goal lead. Despite the Mustangs scoring one more,
Peyton Walsh buried the dagger with 4:42 remaining to close out the road victory for the Bears.

Zack Mabry and Michael Avgenikos registered seven and six ground balls, respectively for Morrisville.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday, when they travel down Route 11 to face SUNY Canton for a 7 p.m. start.
