OSWEGO, N.Y.—Oswego State (2-2-3, 1-0 SUNYAC) scored in the 31st to defeat the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (3-3-1, 0-2) 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. Senior goalkeeper Lucas Schiel (Bremen, Germany/Colegio Humboldt) made four saves for the Bears.
 
Kyle Hanner finished a pass from Kyle Gehnrich at 30:44. Schiel had one stop in the opening 45 minutes.
 
Despite more Laker pressure in the second half, Potsdam's defense shut down Oswego to stay in striking distance. Schiel turned aside another three attempts in the last period. With just over six minutes remaining, junior midfielder Zach Cunningham's (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Holllow Hills East) bid to get the Bears even was stopped by Laker keeper Andre Bourjollu.
 
Bourjollu also made four saves to earn the shutout.
 
Next, Potsdam travels to No. 24 SUNY Cortland on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
