POTSDAM, N.Y.—For the second time in as many games, the SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (2-3-2, 0-1-2 SUNYAC) grinded out a scoreless tie, this time against Oswego State (3-1-3, 0-0-1). Bears senior captain
Savannah Bowie (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville) made a career-high 13 saves for her third shutout of the season and fourth of her career.
Bowie made six saves in the first half. The goalkeeper and her defense diffused the scoring chances, several of which came off of six Laker corner kicks.
Potsdam got its offense going the second half, testing Oswego junior goalie Perri Anderson (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall) four times. Anderson did not break to claim her half of the shutout. Bowie had big second half, stopping another seven shots.
The Bears cap their three-game homestand when they host SUNY Cortland at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
