There was no scoring in the first period. Potsdam and the Kangaroos each had an unsuccessful power play. Canton outshot the Bears 9-7 in the first 20 minutes. Sophomore goalie

Canton pressed Potsdam in the second period, building a 16-5 advantage in shots. The Roos broke through at 15:46 as Kyra O'Keefe made it a 1-0 contest. Neither team could score on another power-play opportunity. The score was unchanged through two periods.
The Kangaroos doubled their lead just 2:51 into the third period. Danika Lalonde made it a 2-0 contest with an even-strength marker. Just over four minutes later, Riley Andzel took advantage of a Bears penalty and made it 3-0 on the power play. Canton edged Potsdam in shots 17-15, and closed out the contest.
Mauson made 27 stops to earn the shutout. Potsdam was 0-for-4 on the power play and the Roos finished 1-for-3
