Bullock scores late to give Bears tie at Buffalo State, 1-1

BUFFALO, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (2-0-1, 0-0-1 SUNYAC) scored late to forge a 1-1 tie in their SUNYAC opener at Buffalo State (1-1-1, 0-0-1) on Friday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • At 3:24 of the second period, Kaydence Kemp scored with an assist from Emma Ramseier to give the Bengals a 1-0 lead.
  • With just 2:45 left in the third period, sophomore defenseman Jessika Bullock (Norfolk, N.Y./Adirondack 46ers) tied the game with an assist from sophomore forward Jalynn Castro (Dexter, N.Y./Syracuse Valley Eagles). The goal was the first of Bullock's career.

  • The Bengals outshot the Bears 34-26.
  • Potsdam junior goalie Magalie Parent (Trois-Rivières, Quebec / Les Diablos – Cégep de Trois-Rivières) finished with 33 saves.
