ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Potsdam men's volleyball team (4-9) fell to Buffalo State (6-4) by a score of 3-1 and swept Manhattanville College (2-8) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore outside hitter Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) paced the Bears with 31 kills, six digs, and three aces and junior middle hitter Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) complimented his teammate with 17 kills, 10 blocks, and one ace in two matches.
 
Against the Bengals, Buffalo State took the first two sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-18, respectively before Potsdam took the third set 25-19 and succumbed to the Bengals 26-24 in the fourth set. Tenhagen registered a career-high 17 kills while Kilinski tallied eight kills and a career-high seven blocks. Freshman outside hitter Darius Dorsey-Rhule (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) added five kills and recorded six digs. Senior captain Michael Anderson (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) had 18 assists and freshman setter Alex Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) totaled 15 assists. Freshman libero Calum Anderson (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) had a career-high eight digs. Senior middle hitter Sean Murray (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) had four kills, four blocks, one ace and senior middle hitter Cam McGarry (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) posted career-highs with four blocks and five digs.
 
Jake Woelfel led the Bengals with 14 kills and six digs. Gavin Wilczewski posted 10 kills, four digs, and one ace. Malachi Jackson registered seven kills, five blocks, and an ace. Chris Laboy tallied seven kills and an ace. Jackson Stang had 41 assists and six digs while Alex Nuez added 13 digs. George Muriel had seven blocks to round out the leaders for Buffalo State.
 
Potsdam took three straight sets from the Valiants 25-21, 25-19, and 25-21. Tenhagen led the Bears with 14 kills, six digs, and three aces. Kilinski recorded nine kills, three blocks, and one ace. Dorsey-Rhule contributed six kills, four digs, and one block while Murray posted five kills and four blocks. Lombardo tallied 18 assists and Michael Anderson registered 14 assists and one ace. Calum Anderson had five digs to sum up Potsdam's leaders.
 
Wilton Martinez paced the Valiants with 11 kills, four digs, and two aces. Joe Gandarillas had 10 kills, five digs, and one ace. Emil Morban Medrano posted seven kills and six digs while Pedro Barros Mechado tallied 29 assists and one ace.
 
The Bears are back in action when they travel next Saturday to face host Elms College at 11 a.m. and Brooklyn College in a neutral site match at 1 p.m.
