Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) had another strong day with a match-best 11 kills and a block.
The Banana Slugs won 25-7, 25-15 and 25-13 decisions to claim the contest. Senior captain
Michael Anderson (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) recorded 10 assists and three digs. Sophomore outside hitter
Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) had three kills and three digs. Freshman setter
Alex Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) registered five assists.
Nico Espinoza had 10 kills, six digs and two aces for Santa Cruz. Leo Tuncer totaled nine kills and three aces. Dylan Forman contributed eight kills and Andrew Pak added 28 assists. Jalen Suwa reached double digits with 10 digs.
The Bears are back in action next Friday when they head to Nazareth College for a 5 p.m. contest with the Golden Flyers.
