Gulls halt streaking Bears, 3-1

BEVERLY, MASS.—Endicott College (10-7, 3-0 NEVC) rallied to beat the SUNY Potsdam men's volleyball (10-10, 1-2) 3-1 on Friday evening and stop the Bears' winning streak at seven. Junior middle hitter Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) led the Bears with 11 kills, three digs and a block and sophomore outside hitter Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) had eight kills, three aces, 10 digs and two blocks.
 
Potsdam took the opening set 25-21 before the hosts answered with 25-21, 25-19 and 25-13 set wins to claim the victory. Freshman outside hitter Darius Dorsey-Rhule (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) recorded five kills and two digs. Senior middle hitter Sean Murray (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) had four kills and three blocks. Senior captain Michael Anderson (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) totaled 20 assists and four kills. Senior libero Tom Shemik (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) had seven digs.
 
Aiden Iacovelli led the Gulls with 15 kills and 12 digs. Jake Laborde registered 13 kills, seven digs and three blocks. Dean Warner added 12 kills and three digs. Logan Pohl had 11 kills Gaven Emenaker had a match best 53 assists.
 
The Bears are back in action tomorrow at noon for an important NEVC match at Eastern Nazarene.
