POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's volleyball team (11-12, 2-4 NEVC) pushed past Bard College (8-16, 1-5) 3-0 on Friday evening to gain important ground in the conference standings. Prior to the contest, the Bears honored seniors

Tom Shemik (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) for their careers.
Potsdam defeated the Raptors by 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18 counts to claim the victory. Sophomore outside hitter
Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) led the Bears with 16 kills, two aces and seven digs. Junior middle hitter
Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) had 12 kills, an ace and two blocks. Murray added five kills and a block. Anderson had 36 assists and seven digs. Shemik had nine digs and freshman outside hitter
Calum Anderson (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) contributed three aces.
Graduate student outside hitter Angel Obergh (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Manhattan Bridge) led Bard with 13 kills. Freshman outside hitter Ben Davis (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) and senior middle blocker Lincoln Grisso (San Francisco, Calif./Timberline) each had five kills. Davis also had 10 digs and Grisso posted two blocks and an ace. Sophomore setter Georgi Chikolov (Plovdiv, Bulgaria/Plovdiv National Music School) recorded 26 assists, eight digs and two blocks.
The Bears are back in action at noon tomorrow when they host Russell Sage College in another NEVC matchup. They then host Finger Lakes Community College at 4 p.m. for an exhibition match.
