Kyan Tiede (Leicester, N.Y./York) had two assists as the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (1-0-1) tied Manhattanville College (0-1-1) 2-2 on Saturday afternoon. The contest was the second round of the Northwestern Mutual (Plattsburgh) Cardinal Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mossey opened the scoring at 14:45 with an assist from Tiede.
- Alec Pineda tied the game at 52:31 on a feed from Guido Sarango.
- Mossey put the Bears up 2-1 at 58:05 with another assist from Tiede.
- Johnny Antolino got the equalizer with a helper from Sarango at 74:26.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Manhattanville outshot the Bears 20-9 and had a 7-5 edge in corners.
- Graduate student goalie Lucas Schiel (Bremen, Germany/Colegio Humboldt) made nine stops for Potsdam.
- Luis Granados finished with three saves for Manhattanville.
- The contest was the first ever meeting between the two programs and the first time Mossey scored twice in a game during his Bears career.
