Bears, Spartans battle to scoreless draw

POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (3-1-2) and Vermont State-Castleton (2-1-2) played to a scoreless tie on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bears outshot the Spartans 9-3 in the first half.
  • The Bears outshot the Spartans 12-2 in the second half.

  • Potsdam finished with a 21-5 advantage in shots and a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
  • Graduate student goalie Lucas Schiel (Bremen, Germany/Colegio Humboldt) made three saves for his second shutout of the season and his fourth career shutout.
