POTSDAM, N.Y.- The Potsdam women's basketball team (7-10, 3-7 SUNYAC) overcame the Plattsburgh State Cardinals (10-7, 6-4 SUNYAC) in the fourth quarter for a 55-49 in an intense SUNYAC bout.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Bears trailed the Cardinals 18-15 in the first quarter, shooting 6-14 from the field
- The second quarter was low scoring. The Cardinals outscored the Bears just 7-6, but took a 25-21 advantage into the locker room.
- Potsdam outscored Plattsburgh 15-13 in the third quarter and was within 38-36 after 30 minutes.
- Senior guard Barbara Bruno (Bronx, N.Y./Brooklyn High School for Law and Technology) broke a 47-47 tie with a layup at 1:22 and the Bears never trailed again.
- Potsdam closed out the win from the free-throw line.

- The Bears shot 37-percent from the floor while holding the Cardinals to just 30.2
- Senior forward Jenna Cotter (Johnson City, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) had a double-double accumulating, 17 points with 15 rebounds.
- Bruno finished with 15 points with five rebounds.
- Jaeden Wilson netted 13 points with five rebounds to pace Plattsburgh.
