MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Senior forward
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) scored three goals to lead the SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (8-3-2, 2-2-1 SUNYAC) to a 4-1 victory at Morrisville State (2-8-1, 0-5) on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mustangs struck first at 10:27. Kylee Urquhart scored with an assist from Hannah Brennan.
- Wagner tied the game at 22:04 with a helper from senior defender Emma Wilson (Nesconset, N.Y./Sachem North).
- Potsdam had a 6-3 edge in shots at the half.
- Wagner added a second goal at 55:16 to put the Bears up 2-1. Senior forward Meg Napoleon (Lyons, N.Y./Newark) had the assist.
- Warren gave the Bears some insurance at 75:23, making it 3-1.
- Wagner completed her hat trick with just eight seconds remaining to close the scoring at 4-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Bears outshot the Mustangs 13-7 and had a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Fry finished with five saves to earn her eighth career victory.
- Morrisville goalie Alyssa Denton also stopped five shots.
