Lakers swamp Potsdam

OSWEGO, N.Y.—Oswego State (3-5-5, 2-2-2 SUNYAC) scored three second half goals to defeat the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (4-8-1, 0-6) 5-2 on Wednesday evening.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sophomore forward Logan Bush (Newcomb, N.Y./Newcomb) got the Bears on the board first at 10:10 with an assist from sophomore forward Brodie Spillman (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton). The helper was the first point of Spillman's career.
  • Ian Husselbeck tied the game at 15:36.
  • Tajay Ellis put the Lakers in front at 25:30, finishing a feed from Kieran Husselbeck.
  • Ian Husselbeck notched his second at 48:10.
  • Edis Omoerovich scored at 70:49 to give Oswego a 4-1 lead. Simone Bastone had the assist.
  • Marcus Baker closed the scoring at 78:38 with an unassisted tally.
  • Bears sophomore forward Jayson Viola (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison) scored his first career goal at 83:26 to close the scoring.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Bears sophomore goalie James Kelm (Chester, N.Y./Chester Academy) stopped seven shots.
  • Lakers keeper Kyle Rose made one stop and allowed a goal in the first 82:30 to pick up the win. Max Mahlke allowed the other goal in the final 7:30.
