MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—SUNY Morrisville (14-11, 4-5 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (8-16, 1-8) 3-0 in the teams' conference finale.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mustangs took set one 25-17. Freshman outside hitter Ashlee Hagerman (Kirkwood, N.Y./Windsor) had four kills and junior outside hitter Emily Prest (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) added two.
- Morrisville claimed a 25-18 win in set two. Hagerman recorded three more kills and freshman middle hitter Logan Georgia (Owego, N.Y./Owego) had two.
- The Mustangs finished off the match with a 25-15 set three victory. Prest posted two more kills.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Hagerman totaled eight kills. Prest had four kills, one ace, and seven digs. Georgia finished with three kills.
- Senior captain Sophia Layer (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) had 11 assists, six digs and an ace.
- Junior setter Rachel Madore (Peru, N.Y./Peru) contributed nine digs.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Bears wrap up the season next week with three home matches. They host Clarkson on Thursday at 6 p.m. They celebrate Senior Day in a nonconference contest with Canton on Saturday at noon. They then finish 2025 with a 2:30 match with St. Lawrence on Saturday.
