POTSDAM, N.Y. – Senior men's basketball player Jaylen Singh (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Rockvale) and junior women's swimmer Katherine Steeves (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending December 6.

Singh averaged 14.3 points per game across three matchups, also recording nine rebounds, 12 assists and seven steals. He finished with 11 points, six assists, two rebounds, and a steal at Utica on Tuesday. In Friday's 84-71 win over Buffalo State, the guard had a season-high 23 points, shooting 58.3-percent from the floor (7-12) and 50.0-percent from 3-point range (3-6). He tallied five rebounds, five assists, and five steals in the game. Singh added nine points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal in Saturday's 77-73 OT loss to Fredonia.

Steeves recorded two first place and one second place finish at the Cortland Snow Flurries Invitational over the weekend. She won the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:19.05 and the 200 Butterfly in 2:17.45. She earned second in the 100 Butterfly, completing the event in 1:01.96.
