HOW IT HAPPENED

• The teams stayed within two points of each other in set one until the Bears finished on a 6-2 run to claim a 25-21 win.
• In set two, the Bears raced out to a 16-5 lead and held on for a 25-20 victory.
• Potsdam finished the third set on a 15-7 run to finish off the Highlanders with a 25-15 win.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Senior middle hitter Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) led the Bears with eight kills, five blocks and an ace.
• Junior outside hitter Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) finished with six kills, six digs and an ace.
• Junior middle hitter Mike Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) had six kills and three blocks.
• Sophomore setter Alex Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) contributed a match-best 27 assists.
• Sophomore outside hitter Darius Dorsey-Rhule (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) and junior middle hitter Jack Orrange (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) each chipped in six digs.
