PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Eighth-ranked SUNY Plattsburgh (15-5-1, 11-3-1 SUNYAC) scored a goal in each period to defeat the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (5-11-2, 1-10-2) 3-0 on Friday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Tessa Morris put the Cardinals up 1-0 at 12:19 of the first. Kayson Ruegge and Emily Kasprzak had the assists.
• Kate Conlon made it 2-0 at 16:24 of the second period. Sydnee Francis and Su-An So assisted on the goal.
• Plattsburgh tacked on an insurance marker at 3:06 of the third period. Cho scored with assists from Seoyoung Yoo and Ella Fesette.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Plattsburgh outshot Potsdam 25-15.
• The Cardinals were 0-for-5 on the power play and the Bears finished 0-for-2.
