POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's volleyball team (10-7, 2-1 NEVC) swept Endicott College (10-9, 2-1) 3-0 on Friday evening for its first ever victory over the Gulls in a critical NEVC matchup.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Bears used an 8-1 run in the early in set one and held the lead the rest of the way in a 25-19 win.
• Potsdam used an 11-5 run in set two to down Endicott 25-18.
• A 7-2 start to set three put the Bears in the driver's seat again. The Gulls got within 22-20, but Potsdam closed out the win with the final three points.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Senior middle hitter Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) always seemed to pick up a clutch kill when the Bears needed it, finishing with a match best 15.
• Junior outside hitter Duncan Tenhagen (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) recorded 11 kills, three digs and three aces.
• Junior middle hitter Mike Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) had six kills, three blocks and three digs.
• Sophomore setter Alex Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) contributed 35 assists.
• Freshman middle hitter Christopher Wong (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) chipped in five kills, four digs, two aces and a block.
• Junior outside hitter Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) paced the Gulls with 13 kills and a block.
