No. 18 Red Dragons overpower Bears

CORTLAND, N.Y.—18th-ranked SUNY Cortland (13-2, 5-0 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (6-6, 2-3) 27-2 on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Cortland outscored the Bears 13-2 in the first half and 14-0 in the second half.
  • Senior captain Ben Lagoner (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) and senior midfielder Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./St. Lawrence Central) each scored for the Bears.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Senior captain Liam O'Neil (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) made nine saves in goal for the Bears.
  • Travis Wagner picked up the win for Cortland, making five saves and allowing two goals in the first 38:38.
