OSWEGO, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (5-4, 1-1 SUNYAC) struck early, but Oswego State (6-3, 2-0) rallied for a 9-7 SUNYAC victory on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Senior attack Cobie Cree (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) and freshman midfielder Sebastien Laughing (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) scored in succession to open the contest and Potsdam led 2-1 after one quarter.
- The Lakers responded with a 4-1 outburst in the second quarter. The Bears' lone tally came from senior midfielder Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) off a feed from junior attack Billy Kozloski (Johnson City, N.Y./Johnson City). It was 5-3 Oswego at the half.
- After a Laker goal early in the third quarter, sophomore midfielder Braden Fahey (Halfmoon, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and Cree scored back-to-back to get within 6-5. However, Oswego answered with two more and led 8-5 after 45 minutes.
- Potsdam had a 2-1 edge in fourth quarter scoring. Walsh struck at 7:41 and Laughing scored with 27 seconds left, but the Bears ran out of time.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
	- Laughing led the Bears with two goals and an assist.
- Cree and Walsh had two goals.
- Freshman midfielder Kyan Combs (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) contributed two assists.
- Junior goalie Saka Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) had another strong day with 13 saves.
- Lakers keeper Seamus Hand stopped seven shots for the win.
- Gavin Elston led Oswego offensively with two goals and an assist.
