POTSDAM, N.Y. – Freshman women's volleyball player Ashlee Hagerman (Kirkwood, N.Y./Windsor) and sophomore men's soccer player Kyan Tiede (Leicester, N.Y./York) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 6.

Hagerman was instrumental in the Bears' 3-0 week, totaling 40 kills at 3.64 kills-per-set, 29 digs, and eight service aces. In Wednesday's 3-1 win at home over Paul Smith's, she had 10 kills, five aces, and seven digs.The outside hitter recorded two career highs with 23 kills and 19 digs, swinging momentum Potsdam's way to beat SUNY Poly 3-2 on Saturday. Hagerman concluded the weekend against Purchase, adding seven kills and two aces in the Bears' 3-0 sweep.

Tiede got on the scoresheet in the Bears' first game of the weekend against the SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks on Friday night, scoring once and assisting on the game-winner, helping the team remain undefeated.
