Biography

Samantha Coombs enters her second season with the Bears. Last season she earned second team All-SUNYAC status and set program records in 50, 100 and 200 Free and was member of the Bears record setting 400 Free Relay team.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jeffery and Wanda Coombs . . . majoring in Early Childhood Education . . . broke Section III record for 200 Free relay, NYSPHSAA qualifier for 200 relay and 50 free and Scholastic Art award while at Jamesville-Dewitt High School . . . favorite TV shows are Lost, Stranger Things and One Tree Hill . . . favorite athletes are Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky . . . greatest sports accomplishment was earning second team ALL-SUNYAC status and a medal for the 200 Free . . . set Potsdam school records for 50 Free, 100 Free and 400 Free relay . . . greatest Potsdam memory was swim training trip to Puerto Rico . . . college athletic awards include 2017 women’s swimming MVP and 2017 Maxcys Potsdam Bears Newcomer Awards
