Meaghan Cunningham

Meaghan Cunningham returns for her second season as the Bears' diving coach.

Cunningham joins the Bears' staff after serving as the head diving coach at Western State Colorado University. She brings a wealth of experience to Potsdam after a solid athletic career with the University of Vermont swimming and diving program. With the Catamounts in 2011, Cunningham was selected as the team's Most Improved Diver and placed seventh at the American East Championships. The following season, as a senior, she scored in the one-meter and three-meter dives at the conference finals.

Cunningham also served as a lifeguard with the UVM Athletic Department and aquatics director at the Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation in Stone, Iowa.

Cunningham, a Keene, N.H. native holds a bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in English from the Vermont. She is an active member of the community, having volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, various service projects, and community kitchens in several cities in the Northeast.

"We are looking forward to having Meaghan's enthusiasm and experience here at Potsdam," said McLaughlin. "Being a former Division I diver and coaching at the Division II level gives her the background necessary to successfully recruit and coach our divers."
