POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam golf team finished sixth at the North Country Shootout this weekend. Cohosts Clarkson University and St. Lawrence University finished first and second, respectively. The Golden Knights won the tournament with a two-day score of 602 (297-305). The Saints "Scarlet" team shot a 616 (306-310). The Bears shot a 344 in Canton yesterday and a 354 in Potsdam today for a 698 total.
 
Senior Andrew Scuncio (Essex, Conn./Pittsford-Mendon) led Potsdam with a 167 (85-82) and junior Devin Caples (Wilton, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) finished with a 172 (88-84). Junior Dylan Estal (DeWitt, Iowa/South Jefferson) and sophomore Jude Fusilli (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) rounded out the Bears with a 175 (84-91) and a 184 (87-97).
 
Potsdam is now done with the fall portion of its schedule. The Bears will resume in April at the Empire 8 Championships.
