CANTON N.Y.—The Bears track and field teams had strong individual performances as they competed at the St. Lawrence University Open on Friday evening. The women had seven top-10 performances as they set four program records. The men set a pair of program records along with 11 top-10 performances for the day. The women's team placed fourth while the men were fifth as Utica University won the men's title and St. Lawrence University captured the women's title.

Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) set the pace for the women's team earning first in the 800m with a school record of 2:26.04. Freshman
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) had the program's fifth best time in the 60m during prelims with a time of 8.49. Wagner and sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) went on to compete in finals in the 60m, with Wagner winning the event with the program's second best time of 8.44, and von Ahn coming in seventh with the program's 10th best time of 8.58. Following the 60m von Ahn went on to compete in the 200m with a time of 28.63 for the Bear's sixth best time. Wagner led the women's field events with a school record in long jump as she jumped 4.63m to place fourth. Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) narrowly missed his own school record as he finished second in the 400m in a time of 53.09 for the program's second fastest time. He also posted Potsdam's fifth fastest time of 24.30 in the 200M to place ninth. Sophomore
Junior Oduro (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) was right ahead of Renaud as he ran the 200m in 24.15 for the program's fourth best time and a seventh place finish. Oduro went on to match his school record during the prelims of the 60m with a time of 7.33. He went on to finals to place eight in a time of 7.40 for the program's fourth best time. Sophomore
Logan Ploss finished the mile in 4:49.84Â for the school's tenth fastest time and a seventh place finish. Junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) broke his own school record in the 60m High Hurdles as he finished in a time of 10.23 to place ninth. Petty followed by placing 10th in long jump for the program's seventh best mark with a jump of 5.41m. Senior
Luke Favata (Lake Placid, N.Y./Lake Placid) narrowly broke his own school record in pole vault with a vault of 2.46m to place sixth. Sophomore
