PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's track and field teams set two records and posted 17 top-10 performances at the Plattsburgh State Wednesday Track & Field Meet this evening. Sophomore
Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) established the Bears men's record in the 400M and sophomore
Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) did the same for the women in the same event. The Bears competed against the host Cardinals, Middlebury College and St. Lawrence University. There was no team scoring.

Renaud edged Liam Costello's four-year old mark in the 400M by .94 seconds with time of 52.91 to finish second in the event. He also posted Potsdam's sixth fastest time of 24.59 in the 200M to place third. Sophomore
Logan Ploss posted a personal-best of 4:48.54 in the Mile for the school's eighth fastest time and a third place finish. Junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) matched teammates senior
Luke Favata (Lake Placid, N.Y./Lake Placid) and sophomore
Caden Palmer (Hudson Falls, N.Y./Hudson Falls) to tie for fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.53m. It's the sixth best mark by a Bear. Senior
Edem Bruce (Bronx, N.Y./Lancaster Mennonite School) recorded a distance of 5.44m in the long jump to finish eighth for Potsdam's fifth best mark. Petty was right behind at 5.32m, finishing ninth. Sophomore
Zane Moussa was third in the weight throw with a distance of 12.89m. It's Potsdam's fifth best result in the event.

Yousey ran a time of 1:02.10 in the 400M to set Potsdam's record and win the race. Freshman
Emma Beecher (Lockport, N.Y./Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart) was fourth in the event with Potsdam's third fastest time of 1:19.64. Senior
Emily Ware (Massena, N.Y./Massena) was fifth in the Mile with the program's eighth fastest time of 6:29.96. Freshman
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) was 11th in the long jump with Potsdam's second farthest distance of 4.08m. She then registered the program's 10th best distance in the shot put with 6.94m to finish eighth. Sophomore
Natalie Hartmann (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) was second in the 600M with Potsdam's third fastest time of 2:07.43. Sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y../Saratoga Springs) won the 200M with the program's seventh fastest time of 28.69. Freshman
Aislinn Hertle (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) rounded out the leaders by placing fourth in the 1000M with a personal-best and Potsdam's seventh fastest time of 4:07.04.
