CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's track and field teams finished third at the St. Lawrence University Twilight Meet on Saturday evening to wrap up their regular season. The host Saints won both the men and women's competitions. The Bears registered 20 program top-10 performances and six school records.

Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) took over a second off his 800M record to finish second in the event with a time of 1:56.09. Freshman
Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) finished 10th in the same event with Potsdam's 10th best time of 2:11.38. Renaud teamed with junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland), sophomore
Ryan Orcutt (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) and sophomore
Junior Oduro (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) to finish third in the 4x100M with a program record time of 45.10. Orcutt then finished third in the 400M hurdles, topping his own school record by over two seconds with a time of 1:00.91. Freshman
Calvin Hitzsche (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) broke his own record in the 110M hurdles with a time of 16.71 to finish third. Sophomore
Logan Ploss (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) was second in the steeplechase in 11:37.95, with the program's second fastest time. Ploss then teamed with Siracusa, sophomore
Kain Robinson (Alder Creek, N.Y./Adirondack) and sophomore
Evan Howe (Peru, N.Y./Peru) to finish third in 4x400M with Potsdam's third best time of 3:58.99. Senior
Zaire Rogers (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) shattered his own program record in the discus by over six meters with a distance of 35.84m. Sophomore
Zane Moussa was third in the hammer throw with Potsdam's third best distance of 40.25m. Junior
Michael Anderson (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) was third in the high jump with the program's sixth best height of 1.65m. Senior
Jady Sylvain (Jamaica, N.Y./Pathways College Prep) rounded out the men's leaders with a fifth place finish in the shot put with Potsdam's ninth best distance of 12.16m.

Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) fell just short of her own school record in the 800M with the program's second fastest time of 2:26.03. Freshman
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) was second in the long jump with Potsdam's second best distance of 4.81m. Freshman
Rylee Semco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) and sophomore
Alexis Hartmann (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, with distances of 28.11m and 26.72m for the program's fifth and sixth best distances. Sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) was second in the 100M with Potsdam's eighth best time of 13.51. She was also second in the 200M with the program's third best time of 27.82. Sophomore
Emma Robbins (Newark, N.Y./Newark) was fifth in the same event with Potsdam's fifth best time of 28.21. Robbins, Yousey, von Ahn, and Wagner were second in the 4x400M with the program's second best time of 4:26.59. The same four then finished first in the 4x100M with a time of 51.56. They were the first Bears to ever compete in the event.

Potsdam is back in action next Friday and Saturday when they head to SUNY Oneonta for the SUNYAC Championships.
