CORTLAND N.Y.—The Bears track and field teams continued to break program records as they had a strong showing at the Cortland Red Dragon Open on Saturday. The women set three new program records along with four top-10 performances while the men's team set four new program records with five top-10 performances for the day.

Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) set a Potsdam record in the women's 800m finishing in a time of 2:25.58 to place third. Sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) competed in the 200m, finishing in 28.84 for Potsdam's fourth best time. Senior
Emily Ware (Massena, N.Y./Massena) ran a personal best of 5:47.40 in the 1500m, for the program's ninth best time. Freshman
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) placed sixth in the 100m finishing in 13.47 for Potsdam's fifth best time. Wagner went on to long jump, where she established a school record of 4.85m. Wagner then teamed up with von Ahn, Ware and Yousey to shatter the school record in the 4x400m relay for the second week in a row as they placed third with a time of 4:25.61. Freshman
Rylee Semco (Slate Hill, N.Y. / Minisink Valley) led the throws as she threw 7.82m in shot put for a personal best and the program's ninth best mark.

Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) improved on his time from last week in the 800m with a school record of 1:57.67 as he placed third in the event. Sophomore
Logan Ploss (East Greenbush,/N.Y. Columbia) ran 4:35.26 in the 1500m for the Bear's ninth best time. Freshman
Calvin Hitzsche (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) set a school record in the 110m hurdles finishing in 18.40. Junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) followed close behind with the program's second best time of 18.74. Petty led the field events for the Bears as he set records in pole vault and long jump. He vaulted 2.50m to place 11th in pole vault and jumped 6.27m in long jump breaking Potsdam's record to place seventh. Sophomore
Zane Moussa placed 11th in the hammer throw with the program's fourth best mark of 38.76m. He also earned a program top-10 mark in discus as he threw 26.32m for the program's fourth best throw. Senior
Luke Favata (Lake Placid, N.Y./Lake Placid) followed close behind with Potsdam's fifth best throw in discus, marking 26.26m.
