ONEONTA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's track and field teams set six program records on the final day of competition at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships in Oneonta. SUNY Geneseo easily defended both the men's and women's titles, while both Bears teams finished eighth.

Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango), sophomore
Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek), sophomore
Emma Robbins (Newark, N.Y./Newark) and sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) ran a program record and regional qualifying time of 50.01 to finish fourth. The same four then set the program record in the 4x400m with a time of 4:10.47, finishing fifth. In the 400m finals, Yousey finished fifth with Potsdam's third best time of 1:01.14. She set the program record and qualified for regionals in yesterday's preliminaries. Wagner finished eighth and topped her program record in the 100m finals with a time of 12.79.

Calvin Hitzsche (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) teamed with Siracusa and Orcutt to finish seventh with Potsdam's second best time of 46.69. Senior
Jady Sylvain (Jamaica, N.Y./Pathways College Prep) was 12th in the shot put with the program's 10th best distance of 12.10m. Senior
Zaire Rogers (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) was just short of his school record in the discus, finishing 13th, with a distance of 34.15m. Junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) exceeded his own Potsdam mark in the decathlon, with an overall score of 4935. He had three Potsdam top-10 performances in his five events today, including a record in the decathlon pole vault. Petty launched himself to a height of 2.70m, 0.1m better than his old mark, for a seventh place finish. He was sixth in the decathlon discus, throwing Potsdam's fifth best distance of 28.79m. Petty ran time of 18.34 in the decathlon 110m hurdles, the Bears sixth best time, placing ninth in the event. He closed out his day with a sixth place finish in the decathlon 1500m (4:52.71) and an eighth place finish in the decathlon javelin (24.95m).

The Bears are back in action on May 17-18, when they travel to the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships at Susquehanna University.
