UTICA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam track and field teams posted 13 top-10 times at the Utica University Winter Open on Friday evening. Both Bears teams finished 12th, while the host Pioneers claimed both the men's and women's titles. Graduate student Aly Ceesay (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Early College Academy for Teaching) broke his own school record in the high jump. In her Bears debut, junior Raven Winters (Harrisville, N.Y./Harrisville) set the Potsdam mark in the 60M hurdles
 
Sophomore Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) was eighth in the 60M, recording Potsdam's third fastest time of 8.44. Junior Emma Robbins (Newark, N.Y./Newark) (8.84) and freshman JoAnne Powers (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) (8.90) finished 20th and 22nd in the same event. Wagner then placed fourth in the long jump with the program's second best distance of 4.90m. Robbins posted Potsdam's sixth best distance in the long jump, 4.42m, to finish 17th. Junior Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) was second in the 800M with the program's fifth fastest time of 2:31.4. Freshman Adrianna Orlando (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) was 10th in the same event with a time of 2:51.05. Powers (29.42) and Yousey (29.64) were 18th and 21st in the 200M. In her Bears debut, junior Raven Winters (Harrisville, N.Y./Harrisville) was 12th in the 60M hurdles with Potsdam's record time of 11.68. The 4x200M relay team of Winters, Wagner, Robbins and Powers finished sixth in the event, the first Bears to ever run it. Sophomore Rylee Semco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) was 24th in the weight throw with Potsdam's sixth best distance of 9.03m. She then finished 30th in the shot put with a distance of 6.92m.
 
Ceesay was second in the high jump, reaching a height of 1.94m, topping his previous Potsdam mark by 0.14. Senior Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) was 12th in the same event, just missing Potsdam's top-10 with a height of 1.51m. Petty was then 42nd in the 60M with a time of 7.70. Freshman Matthew Reed (Madrid, N.Y./Madrid-Waddington) was 11th in the triple jump with the program's second best distance of 11.23m. Reed then nearly matched his effort in the long jump with Potsdam's third best distance of 5.70m to place 20th. Junior Zane Moussa (Keeseville, N.Y./AuSable Valley) was 26th in the same event with a 5.33m mark. Moussa was also ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 12.92m, Potsdam's seventh best performance in the event. Junior Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) was fifth in the 800M with Potsdam's eighth fastest time of 2:03.28. The trio of sophomore Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) (5:15.79), junior Kain Robinson (Alder Creek, N.Y./Adirondack) (5:43.09) and Jack Schroeder (6:54.81) finished 46th, 49th and 51st in the Mile, respectively. Reed was 30th in the 200M with a time of 24.80 and Ceesay was 43rd in 25.41. Sophomore Cooper Ladouceur (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) reached a distance of 9.94m to place 24th in the shot put. Freshman Sean Henley (59.05) and Harper Barrett (Lowville, N.Y./Beaver River) (1:02.34) were 14th and 16th in the 400M. The 4x400 relay team of Barrett, Siracusa, Renaud and Henley were 12th in the event with the program's seventh best time of 4:03.63.
