POTSDAM, N.Y.—The Maxcy Hall Ice Arena will be filled with the sound of cheers a little earlier than usual on Tuesday, November 25, as the SUNY Potsdam men's hockey team welcomes hundreds of students from Lawrence Avenue Elementary and Norwood-Norfolk Elementary for a special School Day game against the SUNY Canton Kangaroos. Puck drop is slated for 11am.
The Bears are excited to share the energy and excitement of college hockey with young fans. The event is part of Potsdam Athletics' ongoing effort to engage with the community and inspire the next generation of Bears.
The event is sponsored by Stewart's Shops. The convenience store company will provide some free ice cream coupons to teachers for students.
Because the arena will be filled with students during the daytime matchup, capacity will be
