CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam track and field team opened its indoor season with a solid performance at the St. Lawrence University Holiday Relays on Friday night. Senior
Cooper Ladouceur (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) won the men's shot put and the Bears combined for 10 top-10 program performances on the night. The Potsdam men finished second, while the women were fourth. The host Saints won both titles.

Ladouceur claimed the shot put title with a throw of 11.47 meters. Senior
Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) was fourth in the 600M Run with a time of 1:42.59. The effort was the program's sixth best ever in the event. Junior
Alic Rock (Keeseville, N.Y./AuSable Valley) was 10th in the 300M Dash with Potsdam's 10th best time of 42.98. Â Sophomore
Talan Green (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) was fifth in the high jump with the program's eighth best jump of 1.70m. Freshman
Alexander Acocella (High Falls, N.Y./Roundout Valley) had Potsdam's 10th best long jump of 5.43m to finish third. He then had the Bears eighth best distance in the triple jump, 10.75m, to finish second. The 4000M Distance Medley Relay team of Siracusa, junior
Jack Schroeder (Gouverneur, N.Y./Gouverneur), Rock and junior
Samuel Barney (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) combined to finish second with the program's eighth best time of 13:33.75.

Sophomore
Makayla Farmer (Massena, N.Y./Massena) was third in the women's mile with a time of 5:55.28 to place third. It's Potsdam's third best mile time. She then finished second in the 3000M with the Bears' third best time of 12:16.97. Junior
Karissa Donnelly (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Morristown) was ninth in the 300M Dash with the program's sixth best time of 48.19. Freshman
Carli Knapp (Lovington, N.M./Lovington) rounded out the leaders with Potsdam's eighth best throw in the shot put of 8.52m, to finish fifth.

The Bears are now off until Saturday, January 10, when they head to Vermont for the Middlebury College Invitational.
