POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's swimming team has been named a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America. The Bears are one of 763 teams from 432 Institutions honored by the CSCAA.
To earn the honor, teams were required to achieve a grade-point-average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. The Bears combined for a 3.31 GPA.
Under first year head coach
Emily Murray, the Bears women had multiple A and B finalists at the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC Championships in February. Graduate student captain Kenzie Cerney (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and freshman
Katherine Steeves (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) (100 Butterfly and 200 Individual Medley) were each two-time A finalists. Senior
Emily Mullin (Gouverneur, N.Y./Gouverneur) was a B finalist in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke and junior
Kathryn Nelson (Riverside, R.I./St. Mary Academy - Bay View) was B finalist in the 200 Backstroke.
