POTSDAM, N.Y. – Junior men's volleyball player Andrew Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) and senior women's hockey goaltender Magalie Parent (Trois-Rivières, Quebec/Les Diablos – Cégep de Trois-Rivières) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 21.

Lombardo recorded 126 assists (10.5 assists-per-set), 22 digs, and three blocks in three games for the Bears over the weekend. At Elmira on Friday, the setter had 47 assists, five digs, and a block in the 3-2 loss. In Saturday's tri-match, he recorded 24 assists, seven digs, and a block in the 3-0 sweep of Hartwick. In the second match of the day, Lombardo added a season-high 55 assists, a season-high ten digs, and a block against Hilbert in a 3-1 victory.

Parent recorded 59 saves, a .983 save percentage, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a shutout in the Bears' SUNYAC weekend sweep, securing their place in conference playoffs. Against Morrisville on Friday, she made 23 saves (.958) in the 2-1 win. The goalie had 36 saves (1.000) on Saturday, shutting out Cortland, earning her fourth shutout of the season and her second against the Red Dragons.
