POTSDAM, N.Y. – Freshman softball player Payton St. Clair has been named the SUNYAC Player of the Week for the week ending March 29. The outfielder put up strong numbers in all four contests for the Bears over the weekend, hitting .667 (10-for-15), recording two home runs, seven RBI, and seven runs.

In game one of Friday's doubleheader at Skidmore, St. Clair went 2-for-3 with her first collegiate home run and a single. She tied the program record for single-game hits in game two, going 4-for-4 behind the plate, including a double. She drove in three runs and scored twice in the 13-7 victory. St. Clair recorded her second home run of the weekend at Cobleskill on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored as the Tigers edged the Bears 15-14 in eight innings. She added a double and a run in the 6-1 win to complete the weekend.

St. Clair leads Potsdam in runs scored (12), RBI (10), home runs (2), and is third in batting average (.372). She and the Bears are back in action on Wednesday at Clarkson (3:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.) and face Cortland in their home opener on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
