Mike Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) was named to the second team, and junior
Alex Lombardo (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) earned a spot on the all-sportsmanship team.
Matt Kilinski ranks second on the team with 204 kills, leading the NEVC in kills-per-set with 3.85, a single-season program record. The middle hitter recorded 94 digs, 13 blocks, and 12 service aces in 14 matches. He is second all-time in kills for the Bears (840), second in kills-per-set (2.68), third in hitting percentage (.268), third in service aces (78), fifth in digs (309), and first in total blocks (180). Kilinski was the NEVC Player of the Year and earned first-team honors last season.
In his second season with the Bears,
Mike Kilinski leads the team with 61 total blocks, ranks third in kills (133), and second in service aces (15). The middle blocker leads the NEVC in hitting percentage (.390), breaking his own single-season Potsdam record. He is fourth in total blocks and blocks-per-set (0.91) in the conference. Kilinski holds the program record for career hitting percentage (.368), all-time blocks-per-set (0.78), and is fourth in career blocks (103).
Lombardo leads the conference in assists-per-set with a career-high 9.18, recording a team-best 597 in 17 matches this season. He ranks second on the team in digs (112), third in service aces (13), and fourth in total blocks (16). The setter holds the all-time assists record for the Bears with 1633 and counting and is second in career assists-per-set (6.83).
The Bears are 11-6 this season with a 4-3 record in NEVC play. They are the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament, taking on No. 5 Russell Sage (13-16, 4-3) this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in Jerry Welsh Gymnasium. The winner advances to the semifinal to take on No. 1 Endicott College (20-3, 7-0) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Beverly, Mass.
