POTSDAM, N.Y. – Sophomore men's lacrosse player Preston Daniels (Peru, N.Y./Peru) and freshman track and field athlete Carli Knapp (Lovington, N.M./Lovington) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending May 2.

Daniels recorded a career-high six points on two goals and a career-high four assists in Wednesday's 13-12 SUNYAC semifinal loss at Oneonta, earning him a spot on the all-tournament team.

Knapp finished second in javelin throw at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships on Friday with a distance of 33.41m, earning her second-team all-conference honors and securing her spot at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships on May 13 and 14 at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.
